DRIVING SKILLS SAVE TEEN LIVES

Return to Newsletter

Ford’s Driving Skills for Life program debuts an exciting new interactive Web site that helps educate teen drivers.

Vehicle crashes are the No. 1 killer of teenagers in America. Nearly 6,000 teens die annually in such accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Studies indicate that crash rates decline considerably as young drivers gain experience, and Ford Motor Company’s Driving Skills for Lifeprogram helps young drivers improve their skills on the road.

To help spread the message, Ford Motor Company’s Driving Skills for Life program has launched a new Web site with stunning graphics, upbeat music and interactive features designed to help young drivers improve their skills behind the wheel, while offering chances to win prizes.

The site, www.drivingskillsforlife.com, offers opportunities for teens to earn points by completing e-learning modules, passing a safe-driving quiz, playing safe-driving games and completing other online activities. Participants can win prizes, including a laptop computer, an Apple iPod, a digital camera, a $250 Best Buy gift certificate, and Ford Mustang and GT die cast models.
