| New Figo expands Ford's presence in India |
 Today, Ford Motor Company president and CEO Alan Mulally headlined the unveiling of the new Ford Figo – Ford's fifth model in India and the first that will compete in the dominant sub-B segment in that market. India is projected to be the world's third-largest market for small cars by 2030 behind the U.S. and China. Figo shares key elements of Ford's kinetic design language with the globally renowned Focus, Mondeo and Fiesta, and conveys a dynamic spirit of energy in motion. | The curious case of the quietest debuting diesel engine |
 Shhhh. Not every diesel engine has to be noisy and unrefined. In fact, when Ford's new 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel engine debuts in the 2011 Super Duty, it's expected to be the quietest, smoothest diesel on the market – and that's by design. Ford challenged the historical idea that a diesel engine has to sound rough to do its job. Instead, engineers took another perspective, looking at Super Duty as more than just a work truck. | Alan Mulally to tout SYNC, new surprises in keynote at 2010 International CES |
 The latest Ford technology advances, including the future of SYNC®, will be top of mind for Alan Mulally as he reprises his Consumer Electronics Show keynote role, this time as the show opener. In his remarks on Jan. 7, 2010 in Las Vegas, Mulally is expected to discuss the next steps for Ford in-vehicle innovation, including advanced voice activation, using cars as docking stations for mobile devices and new alliances with key tech companies. | Frozen, baked, rattled, stoned – Ford Taurus endures extreme torture |
 Taurus can withstand just about anything the open road throws at it, and Ford engineers have the tests to prove it. After determining what the most abusive driver would dish out, engineers took it one step further, with Taurus being subjected to more than nine extreme tests to deliver reliability to go with its head-turning design. One such test saw Taurus enduring arctic cold and Death Valley heat without ever leaving Ford's labs in Dearborn, where an environmental chamber can simulate temperatures from 40 degrees below zero to 180 degrees. more... |
