Joseph Greenwell
Title: Vice President Government Affairs Premier Automotive Group and Ford of Europe
Joe Greenwell takes up a newly created role of Vice President Government Affairs Premier Automotive Group and Ford of Europe, effective September 1st 2005. Immediately prior to his new position, Joe Greenwell was Chairman and CEO of Jaguar and Land Rover.
Previously, he had been vice president, Marketing and Operations, since August 2002. In that role, he was responsible for Ford of Canada, Ford of Mexico, Worldwide Direct Market Operations and Global Marketing.
Greenwell had been vice president, Global Automotive and Product Promotions & Associations, as well as a vice president of Ford Motor Company, since November 2001. Before assuming those roles, Greenwell was vice president, Communications and Public Affairs for Ford of Europe.
From January 1996, he was director, Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Cars. In this role Greenwell led the company's worldwide public relations program and made a major contribution to Jaguar Car's period of transformation and its success in recent years. He joined Jaguar in 1983 and held several senior management positions within Sales, Marketing and Public Affairs.
While at Jaguar, he was actively involved in numerous community support projects. He chaired the Coventry Business Cares for Children Fund Raising initiative in association with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and also the Foleshill Business Forum, part of the UK Business in the Community program focusing on urban regeneration. He was also a Governor of Coventry Technical College. He remains a Trustee of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
He holds a bachelor's in English and American Literature.
