Richard A. Manoogian

Title: Member, Board of Directors, Ford Motor Company

Richard A. Manoogian, chairman, CEO and director of Masco Corporation, was elected to the Ford Motor Company Board of Directors on July 12, 2001. Mr. Manoogian joined Masco in 1958. In 1964, he became Vice President and a member of the Board. He was named president of Masco in 1968 and chairman in 1985. Mr. Manoogian serves as director of Bank One Corporation, Detroit Renaissance, The American Business Conference, Metaldyne and MSX International. He is also active in numerous cultural and educational organizations including:

    Chairman, Detroit Institute of Arts Board of Directors

    Member, Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village Board of Trustees

    Director, Yale University Art Gallery

    Member, Armenian General Benevolent Union Central Board

    Member, Michigan Business Roundtable

    Chairman, Alex and Marie Manoogian Foundation

    President and Treasurer, Richard and Jane Manoogian Foundation

    Trustee, The Community Foundation of Southeastern Michigan, Archives of American Art (Smithsonian Institute), Center for Creative Studies, Fine Arts Committee of the State Department and Trustees Council of the National Gallery of Art.

In addition, Governor John Engler (Michigan) recently appointed Mr. Manoogian to the Mackinac Island State Park Commission. Mr. Manoogian is also a member of the Chief Executives Organization (YPO), Yale Alumni Association, The American Federation of Arts, American Association of Museums, Museum Trustees Association and many other charitable and civic groups. Mr. Manoogian received a bachelor of arts degree in Economics from Yale University.
