New Ford Escape most fuel-efficient small SUV on the market

The new Ford Escape is certified by the U.S. EPA as the most fuel-efficient small SUV with an automatic transmission. The Escape's 1.6-liter EcoBoost® engine is certified at 33 mpg – 2 mpg better than the Honda CR-V and 5 mpg better than Toyota RAV4. All three engines in the new Escape are EPA-certified at 30-plus mpg on the highway.

First Ford dealers certified to sell Focus Electric

The first Ford dealers have been officially certified to sell the company's first all-electric car – the Focus Electric. The 67 dealers located in California, New York and New Jersey – markets that account for a large percentage of electrified vehicle sales – will start seeing Focus Electric later this spring. By the end of the year, the car will be available nationwide.

U.S. drivers can now place their orders for the new Ford Focus ST, a high-performance hatchback that will offer exhilarating performance and handling, a distinctive interior and muscular exterior design. Focus ST is Ford's first global performance car, integrating a collection of advanced and sport-oriented technologies previously unavailable in North America.

Several Ford vehicles set sales records

U.S. sales of some of Ford's most fuel-efficient vehicles grew again in April, with Fusion and Edge setting all-time records, Explorer reporting its best April since 2005 and F-Series reaching its best sales for the month since 2007.

Cleveland plant needs third shift to meet demand

Growing customer demand for cars and trucks powered by fuel-efficient Ford 3.5-liter EcoBoost and 3.7-liter V6 engines has translated into a third shift at Cleveland Engine Plant. Two hundred fifty employees will transfer to the shift from another plant on the site that is closing.
