|Cut #1:||"Opening an office in Silicon Valley very natural for us, it brings us into what I consider to be and I think what many consider to be, one of the most innovative communities in the world. It gives us an opportunity to not only build on our existing partnerships with companies that we have been working with for many years now, but also to develop new partnership." :17 sec.|
|The team at Silicon Valley Lab will initially be focused on three main areas of interest that will help; advance the Blueprint for Mobility, big data, open innovation and user experience.|
|Cut #2:||"User experience is one area, second area in the broadest sense would be open innovation, so bringing some new different innovative concepts into the vehicle and then the third area that we think we can add a lot of value and really bring some new thinking is in the whole area of Mobility and again looking forward safe and efficient transportation, millions of customers around the world bringing the best of Silicon valley to our business, so we're ready to go." :26 sec.|
|Mascarenas stressed the need to bring technology into the vehicle to establish a seamless driving experience for consumer, which ultimately leads to a safe driving experience.|
|Cut #3:||"We use the term ‘eyes on the road, hands on the wheel' and voice is one of the key enablers, so SYNC has one of the most powerful voice recognition technologies in the industry, developed in partnership with Nuance, developed in partnership with Microsoft and again another example of how partnering with the best companies in the valley helps us bring the best products to market." :19 sec.|
|According to Mascarenas, the future of technology in the car will be defined by the total experience that it delivers to the driver & passengers, and should be a seamless experience that brings a lot of value to the customer.|
|Cut #4:||"Now it's really time to start preparing for the future mobility and how we continue to provide, safe and efficient and affordable transportation to millions of customers around the world, but to do it in a way that is innovative, to do it in a way that is potentially, a different way of mobility, maybe different than ownership model that we experience today." :20 sec.|
|In addition to Ford's Silicon Valley Lab that is now open for business, the company has been recognized by the Computer Museum because of their innovative, first of its kind, SYNC technology.|
|Cut #5:||"Recognition in the Computer Museum, fantastic honor for us and it's what we're all about at Ford, which is bringing great technologies to our customer is a very accessible and affordable way. We didn't plan on it, but it did happen and we're extremely honored and pleased to be recognized." :15 sec.|
