With linear power delivery, Explorer Sport brings high-performance response, while giving up to a projected 22 mpg on the highway. Yet Explorer Sport is still a fully capable SUV with 4WD and a Terrain Management System™ and – when properly equipped – can tow up to 5,000 pounds. To match Explorer Sport in seating capacity, interior appointments, horsepower, capability and highway fuel efficiency, an SUV shopper will have to spend a great deal more in initial purchase cost.
