[The following remarks were given by Richard Corbello at the inauguration of Yude Canahuati S.A.'s new facility in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on March 10, 1999.]
Good evening. Thank you for joining us here tonight for this exciting grand opening.
As you all know, we have come here today to inaugurate Yude Canahuati's newest facility in San Pedro Sula.
This new facility is a tremendous step towards further enhancing the excellent customer service and accessibility that Yude Canahuati offers its customers in all of their locations. This state-of-the-art facility was designed to make the vehicle ownership experience as easy and convenient as possible for the customer.
I'd like to congratulate Mrs. Blanca Canahuati, her family and the staff at Yude Canahuati for a job well done and compliment them for all of their efforts in heightening the visibility of Ford products. They have established a reputation for superior after market support and customer commitment.
All of the facility's amenities will help to improve Ford's sales and service operation in Honduras and to increase customer satisfaction. This has been a tremendous effort undertaken by Yude Canahuati and I'd like to congratulate their management again for their effort and the outstanding job they've done.
But the new facility isn't the only celebration this evening. Ford has a long history with the Canahuatis. We began our partnership with them back in 1939 and we are proud to be working with them to this day. Earlier today we presented the Yude Canahuati management team with a certificate of appreciation for 60 years of outstanding service and dedication to their customers and to Ford. I'd like to congratulate the entire dealership team on a job well done.
Mrs. (Blanca) Canahuati, would you please join me at the podium? This Golden Shovel represents the hard work and significant capital investment that Yude Canahuati has committed to the Ford franchise and to its customers. On behalf of Ford Motor Company, I would like to present you with this Golden Shovel in recognition of your vision.
