James P. Vondale is Director of the Automotive Safety Office, Environmental and Safety Engineering. He is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the performance of the Company's worldwide automotive safety activities. He also serves as the Company's principal spokesperson on product safety matters.
Mr. Vondale joined Ford Motor Company in 1981 as a Product Litigation Attorney in the Office of General Counsel. He has spent most of his career at Ford focusing on litigation and safety issues related to restraint systems, including air bags. He assumed his present position in January 2001.
Mr. Vondale received his B.A. from Michigan State University and J.D. from University of Detroit.
