SHANGHAI, China, August 7, 2015 – Ford China sold 77,100 vehicles in July, a six percent decrease compared to July 2014. Year-to-date sales continue to be steady and surpassed the 600,000 mark in July, with 620,588 vehicles sold.
CAF sold 57,748 vehicles in July, a four percent decrease compared to July 2014. Year-to-date sales for Changan Ford Automobile (CAF), Ford’s passenger car joint venture, reached 452,726 vehicles, steady compared to the same time last year.
Sales for the Ford Focus nameplate surpassed the 150,000 mark, with 154,195 vehicles sold from January to July this year. Starting in August, customers in China will see the all new Ford Focus in showrooms across the country. Unveiled for the first time in China at Auto China Shanghai in April, the eagerly anticipated new vehicle hit the showrooms on July 30.
In July Ford’s commercial vehicle investment Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) sold 17,109 vehicles, a 12 percent decrease compared to July 2014. Year-to-date JMC sales crossed the 150,000 mark with 150,763 vehicles sold, a one percent increase from the same time last year.
