SHANGHAI, April 8, 2017 – Ford today announced it is launching FordPass in China, offering customers a richer ownership experience through a smart, one-stop app with an array of useful features.

With a few clicks, drivers can speak or message with knowledgeable FordGuides for one-on-one assistance. The app also enables users to quickly locate gas stations, find parking as well as connect with dealers. Customers with vehicles equipped with FordPass Connect embedded modem can also deploy remote control functionalities such as remote start, lock and fuel level check

FordPass benefits and features highlights include:

More than just a car key. For vehicles equipped with FordPass Connect embedded modem, owners are able to remotely control their vehicle through a few clicks on the FordPass app. Remote control features include locking and unlocking doors, as well as starting and stopping vehicles.

Finding parking and gas stations become less stressful. Owners of vehicles equipped with FordPass Connect embedded modem can use FordPass to remotely check fuel levels to determine if they need to stop for gas. The app takes away the hassles of locating a fuel station nearby. Finding parking on busy streets is also made easy with FordPass. Drivers can find parking sorted by price and search for parking by location. Drivers are able to pin the location of their vehicles while using FordPass to help them remember where they parked.

FordPass remembers your car’s service records. Owners can stop wondering about when to schedule services or look for documentation on what’s covered under warranty. The MyVehicle functionality on FordPass provides vehicle warranty information, service history and maintenance schedule.

Don’t sacrifice time from work or weekends to go service your car. Owners will soon be able to use FordPass to request eDaijia vehicle pickup and delivery for vehicle servicing at dealerships. Available in the coming months, the eDaijia functionality on FordPass offers customers in China more control over their time with the convenience of requesting a driver to take their vehicles to service, thus minimizing the stress on customers’ busy schedules and freeing up time to focus on other things in life. Through the eDaijia functionality, FordPass will also be able to advise customers on their vehicles’ service completion status so they can better plan their day.

Forgot your wallet? Use FordPay! Linked to an existing debit or credit card, FordPay uses the convenience of the app interface to pay for eDaijia’s pickup and delivery service. In addition, FordPay can be used to settle vehicle service bills at dealerships when using the eDaijia service. Owners no longer need to have their wallets ready. They just need to pull out their smart phones.

Easily connect with Ford and Dealers through FordGuides. Owners can click-to-call or click-to-chat with friendly, knowledgeable and trusted FordGuides to request personal assistance or to address questions to help them make full use of their ownership experience. FordPass also offers a convenient way to locate dealers, click-to-call them and learn about their services.
