Mark Harvey is appointed Director, Enterprise Connectivity, Ford of Europe on September 1, 2020.
Harvey leads Ford’s efforts to deliver new digital products and services built around connected passenger cars and commercial vans. He oversees the development and launch of new offerings that leverage vehicle data, including adding new features to the FordPass app for an enhanced private ownership experience and bringing Ford Commercial Solutions’ data and telematics services to support large fleet managers.
Prior to this role he served as Director Commercial Vehicle Mobility Solutions, Ford Mobility, and was responsible for the delivery of Ford’s mobility services and connected vehicle services supporting Ford’s key Commercial Vehicle business. These encompassed Ford’s Last Mile Delivery software platform, Electric Commercial Vehicle trials across Europe and development of new connected vehicle services to help our customer’s businesses to thrive.
Previously Harvey served as Dunton Site Manager, responsible for all prototype, testing and site maintenance activities on one of the UK’s largest Automotive R&D sites, directly leading a team of over 800 employees. Prior to this, he was also the Commercial Vehicle Program Manager, leading many programs including the 2013 Van of the Year winning Transit Custom.
He has over 25 years of experience within Ford across a range of engineering activities, including foreign assignments in the US and with Mazda in Japan. He joined Ford as a sponsored student directly from school, holding a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton.
Harvey was born in Epsom, UK in 1972 and is married with three children.
