New ‘Lifesavers’ Film Series Shines a Light on Europe’s Emergency Service Heroes

‘Lifesavers’ trailer gives a glimpse into the extraordinary work of Europe’s emergency services.

Across Europe, thousands of professionals and volunteers follow a calling to help others – whether it’s rescuing those stranded on a mountain, rushing into a burning building or speeding through city streets to give emergency medical assistance. These extraordinary individuals can face self-doubt and fear, yet they go forward regardless. It’s this incredible spirit that is the focus for a new series of films by Ford of Europe called ‘Lifesavers’, previewed in a newly-launched trailer.

The films feature people like Sarai, a medical paramedic in Valencia, Spain who is just four months into her role, and Martin, who set up the Water Rescue Service in Nové Mlýny, Czech Republic in response to the number of accidents happening on the popular local reservoirs. Each episode in the series explores what drives these special characters to do what they do, providing insights into how they cope with the pressures and what it means to them.

The first full video in the series follows the Valencia Ambulance Service in Spain and will launch on May 31st. The focus will then move across Europe through the following five episodes, featuring the incredible spirit and dedication of lifesavers in the Czech Republic, France, UK, Slovenia and then Germany.
