Ford to Premiere New Global Car at Mobile World Congress

  • Ford Motor Company introduces a new global vehicle at 10:00 CET on Feb. 24 at Mobile World Congress Barcelona
  • New vehicle will feature advanced connectivity, safety and driver assist technologies
  • Ford also will show a new automated research vehicle, which envisions a future of autonomous functionality and advanced technologies after 2025
  • Stephen Odell, president, Ford of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Paul Mascarenas, Ford chief technical officer and vice president, Research and Innovation, will deliver keynote addresses at the congress

COLOGNE, Germany, Feb. 17, 2014 – Ford Motor Company will unveil a new global vehicle featuring advanced connectivity, safety and driver assist technologies at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at 10:00 CET on Feb. 24.

Ford of Europe also will show for the first time in Europe a new automated research vehicle, which envisions a future of autonomous functionality and advanced technologies after 2025. The vehicles will be showcased at Fira Gran Via, Hall 3, stand #C20.

Also during Mobile World Congress, the theme of which this year will be “Creating What’s Next”, senior Ford executives will deliver two keynote speeches:

  • Stephen Odell, President, Ford of Europe, Middle East and Africa, will deliver a keynote address titled “Connected Lives, Connected Cars” at 09:00 CET on Feb. 25, at Hall 4, Auditorium 1
  • Paul Mascarenas, Ford chief technical officer and vice president Research and Innovation will deliver keynote address “Steering the Automotive Industry into the Future with M2M” at 11:30 CET on Feb. 27, at Hall 4, Auditorium 2
