cologne, Germany, April 30, 2014 – Ford has reduced the price of selected parts for Transit and Transit Connect models that are more than four years old by up to 58 per cent.

“Small businesses need to watch every penny, and these price cuts on regular service parts will bring savings that customers really notice,” said Massimo Pasanisi, executive director, Customer Service Operations, Ford of Europe. “Ford commercial vehicle dealers offer top quality parts installed by trained technicians – now at an even more competitive cost.”

A replacement clutch slave cylinder on a 2000–2006 Ford Transit is now up to 58 per cent cheaper – a saving of up to €260. The Ford and Ford Motorcraft value range parts available at a reduced price also include:

  • Brakes: brake discs and linings
  • Filters: oil filters, air filters, diesel fuel filters
  • Clutches / flywheels: clutch kits, clutch release bearings and dual mass flywheels
  • Running gear: wishbones / control arms, wheel bearings

These reductions come as Ford is completing the launch of its totally redesigned and expanded Transit range in Europe, including the all-new Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Connect and Transit Courier, which offers much improved cost of ownership. With this new initiative in place, customers with older Transit and Transit Connect vehicles can also benefit from reduced ownership costs.

Ford’s Transit models are engineered to deliver outstanding toughness with industry-leading low running costs, and durability tests which replicate millions of kilometres in the world’s most extreme operating conditions.
