Ford Launches Transit24 Service Package; Saves European Commercial Vehicle Customers Time and Money

  • Ford introduces Transit24 service package across its European network of 750 Transit Centre commercial vehicle specialist dealers
  • Transit24 offers consistent dealer service standards, reduces vehicle time-off-road and minimise overall operating costs

COLOGNE, Germany, Aug. 5, 2014 – Ford‘s new Transit24 service package will help save time and money for European commercial vehicle customers when it is introduced in the second half of 2014.

Offered by Ford’s network of 750 Transit Centres across Europe, Transit24 sets consistent new dealer service standards that will enable van users to reduce the time their vehicle spends off the road and minimise their operating costs.

The Ford Transit24 package includes a range of measures to optimise vehicle productivity including urgent repairs completed within 24 hours, while-you-wait servicing, maximum lead time of three days for routine servicing, and free 24/7 roadside assistance between services.

“Businesses need to keep their vehicles on the road earning money, and Ford’s new Transit24 service package is designed to do just that,” said Massimo Pasanisi, executive director, Customer Service Operations, Ford of Europe. “With the completely new and expanded Transit range, and enhanced support from the Transit Centre network, Ford is raising the bar for commercial vehicle performance and service.”

Transit24 offers businesses additional features to maximise convenience and minimise disruption. Typically these include:

  • Extended opening hours with overnight or late-night servicing at least one night per week
  • Availability of like-for-like courtesy Transit replacement vehicles
  • Free Ford e-Check electronic vehicle health check
  • Single One Call phone contact number for all services
  • Waiting area with free WiFi and working spaces
  • A range of Ford Protect service and extended warranty options
  • Vehicle collection/delivery service
  • Vehicle wash and valet service

Each of the 750 Transit Centres provides dedicated sales and service support for the Ford commercial vehicle range, employing Ford trained technicians and offering specialised diagnostic equipment and tools to perform all service, maintenance and warranty work.

Following a successful launch of the programme in the U.K., Ford will be implementing the Transit24 service package within Transit Centres across 19 other major markets* in Europe this year.
