Jason Luo

Jason Luo is former chairman and chief executive officer of Ford China.

Joining Ford in September 2017, Luo had overall responsibility for the company’s operations in Greater China including its import business, Lincoln, its passenger car joint venture Changan Ford, and commercial vehicle investment in Jiangling Motors Corporation.

Prior to joining Ford, Luo was president and CEO, Key Safety Systems (KSS) since 2007. In that role, he led the business transformation and global expansion of the company. He held several positions at KSS since 1997 including director of engineering, director of Global Engineering, vice president of Global Engineering and president of Asia Division.

Luo has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate strategy and global operations. In 2015, Ernst & Young named him Regional Entrepreneur of the year for entrepreneurial excellence in the automotive supplier category.

Luo currently serves on the Global IP and JR Automation Technologies Board of Directors. He is a senior advisor at Crestview and FountainVest Partners, chairman of the Detroit Chinese Business Association Advisory Board and a member of the Michigan State University Broad College Alumni Association board of directors.

Born in China, Luo is fluent in both Mandarin and English. He has a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, China; a master of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo, Ohio and a master of business administration from Michigan State University.
