Ford of Europe is introducing new Black and White Editions of the Fiesta and Ka small cars, offering exclusive and stylish exterior and interior designs.

The Black and White Editions offer a sophisticated, personalised design with a black body with white detailing, or a white body with black detailing; as well as white detailing inside the car. Both colour schemes deliver a classic look with a fresh, contemporary appeal, which also reflects trends in clothing and technology for pure, uncomplicated styling.

“Black and white is a timeless combination that evokes thoughts of chic 1960s style, and now inspires the design of products from consumer electronics to training shoes,” said John Mcleod, chief designer, Vehicle Personalisation, Ford of Europe. “White is a clean, pure, simplistic colour that contrasts perfectly with sophisticated black. We’ve used that simple combination to deliver distinctive Fiesta and Ka models with a charismatic twist.”

Fiesta Black and White Editions
The Fiesta Black and White Editions are offered with a Panther Black body, Frozen White roof and white mirror caps; or Frozen White body, Panther Black roof and black mirror caps. Both colour choices are available with 15-inch black alloy wheels featuring white styling inserts – patented accessories exclusively available from Ford – and also with optional 16-inch black alloy wheels.

The interior features white stitching for the seat trims, leather steering wheel, floor mats, and handbrake gaiter and leather handle. The steering wheel spokes are presented in white – as are the gear lever surround and door grab handles.

The new Fiesta Black and White Editions are offered in 3- and 5-door bodystyles in Trend specification, and include Ford’s SYNC voice-activated connectivity system as standard.

Ka Black and White Editions
The Ka Black and White Editions are available with Midnight Black or Crystal White body, and contrasting roof and mirror caps. An optional body colour rear roof spoiler is offered, and 16 inch 5-spoke Y-Design alloy wheels also feature white styling inserts.

A bold contrasting interior design for the Ka Black and White Editions is dominated by a unique seat trim in black with white detailing; seam stitching; and headrest-, seat bolster- and seat base-sides.

The leather steering wheel and handbrake also feature white stitching, as do the gear shift gaiter and unique, double-stitched floor mats. The gearshift knob, the steering wheel spokes, centre console, door grab handles and air-vent surrounds are presented in Pearl White.

“The seat designs and bold interior detailing for the Black and White Editions means the visual impact runs right through the car. It’s stimulating and youthful and the white wheel inserts help ensure these stylish cars are instantly recognisable on the road,” Mcleod said.

The 3-door Ka Black and White Editions are offered in Titanium specification that includes Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, and theatre-style interior lighting.

Fuel-efficient engine options
The Fiesta Black and White Editions can be equipped with powertrains including the three-time International Engine of the Year 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol; 1.0-litre Ti-VCT; 1.25-litre and 1.4-litre Duratec petrols; 1.5 litre TDCi diesel; and 1.6-litre TDCi diesel delivering 3.6 l/100 km (78.5 mpg) fuel efficiency and 95 g/km CO2 emissions.*

Ka Black and White Editions are offered equipped with Ford’s 1.2-litre Duratec petrol engine, achieving 4.9 l/100 km (57.6 mpg) fuel efficiency and 115 g/km CO2 emissions.*

The new Black and White Editions follow the introduction of the Fiesta Red and Black Editions, which offer fashion-inspired design combined with a 140 PS version of Ford’s 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine. Ford has received more than 3,600 orders for Fiesta Red and Black Editions since launching the model in June 2014.

* The declared fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are measured according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EC) 692/2008 as last amended. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are specified for a vehicle variant and not for a single car. The applied standard test procedure enables comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a car, driving behaviour as well as other non-technical factors play a role in determining a car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. CO2 is the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. Results in MPG also correspond to this European drive cycle and are stated in imperial gallons. The results may differ from fuel economy figures in other regions of the world due to the different drive cycles and regulations used in those markets.
