Ford Motor Company is Among World’s 12 Most Attractive Employers, According to Major Annual Survey of Students

  • Students around the world rank Ford highly as an attractive employer
  • Company among top 12 for tomorrow’s engineers, in top 50 for future business leaders
  • More than 294,000 students took part in annual Universum Talent Survey

Ford Motor Company is one of the world’s most attractive employers, according to a new annual survey of students worldwide. For those studying engineering, Ford’s ranking this year rose to 12.

“We consistently strive to make Ford a great place to work and the skills we need are becoming increasingly diverse. This achievement demonstrates that we remain on the right path to attracting the talent we need,” said Peter Godsell, vice president, Human Resources, Ford of Europe and Middle East and Africa.

More than 294,000 students in the world’s 12 largest economies took part in the Universum Talent Survey that ranked companies based on characteristics, including having a creative and dynamic work environment, innovation, high future earnings and leaders who support development. For business students Ford ranked at 42. http://bit.ly/WMAE2017

“To be published in the ranking is a true reflection of how strong an employer is globally and proof of strength in attracting and retaining the right talent,” said Petter Nylander, global CEO, Universum Group. “This year we have seen a more varied employer list including new industries such as e-commerce, whereas the more established sectors like the energy industry have lost ground with this new generation of talent.”

In 2016, Ford of Britain employed 96 graduates in a variety of challenging roles. Ford’s position of 12th for engineering students in the global Universum Talent Survey is reflected in the UK by a large proportion of the 96 graduates taking up roles within the company’s Product Development team.
