- Ford Puma Titanium with mild hybrid engine ordered by AA Driving School
- Puma joins Fiesta and Focus on the AA Driving School fleet
- Ford maintains its 22-year unbroken association with the UK’s leading school for learner drivers
DUNTON, Essex, 22 October, 2020 – The award-winning Ford Puma is set to claim fresh admirers with its launch on the AA Driving School fleet, alongside siblings Fiesta and Focus.
The new deal maintains an unbroken relationship with AA Driving School stretching back to 1998.
The Ford Puma in Titanium series with 125PS mild-hybrid engine joins the Fiesta Active and Focus ST-Line models on the roster of vehicles offered to AA driving instructors.
“It’s brilliant news that AA Driving School is to make Puma available,” said Stephen Gafson, Ford’s Direct Sales business manager. “We know it will be popular with the instructors, who get to choose their own vehicles, and we are expecting that their pupils will enjoy the Puma experience also. Many novices choose the model they learned to drive in as first cars, so it’s win-win for Ford.”
Launched earlier this year, Puma has been quick to amass a slew of awards. The Autocar Awards pronounced Ford’s crossover as its Game Changer car of the year, and What Car? gave it the ultimate accolade – 2020 Car of the Year.
It’s the first mild hybrid car offered by AA Driving School. “We’re really excited to bring the Ford Puma to our mix of cars and feel, combined with our new franchise pricing, we’re more competitive, flexible and better value than ever.” said Sarah Rees, manging director of AA Driving School. “Whether instructors want a mild hybrid, a more spacious tuition vehicle or a smaller city car, they can find it here wrapped up with everything else needed to run a successful business.”
The Fiesta has been a firm favourite with AA Driving School and its learners for over 22 years, and first-time-buyer sales of Ford’s iconic small car have contributed greatly towards its long-held status as the UK’s favourite new car. This is the first time that the SUV-inspired Fiesta Active variant has been offered to the AA’s instructors – also available with the 125PS mild-hybrid engine.
Ford’s sporty Focus ST-Line Edition is another eye-catching choice on offer, and is available with either petrol 125PS mild hybrid or 120PS diesel engine options.
