DUNTON, UK, March 2, 2022 – The all-new Ford Tourneo Connect multi-activity vehicle has become the automaker’s latest model to earn a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

The maximum safety rating is announced as production of the Tourneo Connect gets underway, delivering an adaptable, spacious cabin with seven-seat capability, the option of two versatile lengths, and a stylish series line-up including Active, Titanium, and Sport variants. First customer deliveries are set to follow in spring.

The all-new Ford Tourneo Connect received scores of 84 per cent for adult and 82 per cent for child occupant protection, including maximum points in side barrier crash tests. 1 The independent vehicle safety authority also commended Tourneo Connect’s driver assistance features, including Driver Alert, 2 Lane-Keeping System 2 and Pre-Collision Assist autonomous braking technology. 2

“Family car buyers instinctively value safety, and we believe no customer should have to think twice about whether their Ford is watching out for them,” said Stuart Southgate, director, Safety Engineering, Ford of Europe. “Our all-new Tourneo Connect’s sophisticated safety and driver assistance features are designed to help the driver to prevent or mitigate accidents, and protect should a collision occur, so that families can enjoy peace-of-mind on their journeys.”

Designed to support active lifestyles, small businesses and dual-use customers, the all-new Tourneo Connect offers second and third seat rows that can be folded, tumbled or removed – and a front passenger seat that folds flat – to create a spacious load area for safely transporting work or sports equipment up to three metres long. 3

Advanced new digital cockpit technologies include an available 10-inch centre screen to easily view and access navigation, audio, cabin climate and connectivity controls, as well as an available 10.25-inch digital cluster display in place of the traditional dials.
