Ford has announced the appointment of Achraf El Boustani as managing director for its North Africa operations. El Boustani, whose mission is to further accelerate sales growth and improve the brand's competitiveness in North Africa, will be based in the company’s regional headquarters in Casablanca.
The appointment of El Boustani, a Moroccan national who got promoted form his previous role of deputy managing director, confirms Ford's commitment to the Kingdom and the brand's determination to develop local talent to support the manufacturer's strategy in the national and regional markets.
“As one of our key local team members, we welcome Achraf to the Ford leadership team in his new role,” said Jacques Brent, president of Ford Middle East & Africa. “Achraf has been an integral part of our regional team and we look forward to seeing our North African markets grow under his guidance.”
El Boustani, 38, began his career in aeronautics in 2002 before joining the automotive industry in 2012, where he held various senior positions in sales and marketing in Morocco, and in North and West Africa. In 2015, he joined Ford as General Field manager for North Africa, where he was in charge of realising the sales performance of Ford vehicles for the region, as well as improving processes in order to obtain key indicators regarding customer experience in the strategic business segments.
Commenting on his appointment as managing director for Ford North Africa, El Boustani said: "I am pleased and proud to have been chosen for this position in order to pursue the Ford strategy in Morocco and the North Africa region overall. We will continue to develop our market share and meet the needs of our customers who know that our products and services provide a world class experience."
Achraf El Boustani holds a Master’s Degree in Business from the Paul Cézanne University and a Degree in Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse. He is married and has two children.
