Lincoln has best April sales since 1988; Record April for Canadian-built MKX
OAKVILLE, Ont., May 3, 2016 – Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. had its best April sales in 27 years as Canadian consumers purchased a record number of Ford F-Series trucks for the second consecutive month, with nearly 14,000 pickups sold.
"While it has been a strong first four months for the automotive industry in Canada, consumers have made it an even stronger start to the year for Ford," said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. "Ford F-Series has seen best-ever sales for two consecutive months, Ford Edge has set sales records in each month this year, and we saw the first sales of the new Ford Fusion and Ford Escape in April.”
Lincoln also had its best April sales in 28 years, led by record April sales of the Canadian-built Lincoln MKX.
"Canadian consumers are fully embracing the new Lincoln lineup,” said Craig. “With the Lincoln MKX having a record April and the all-new Lincoln Continental coming this fall, Lincoln continues to make its mark in the growing luxury segment.”
