OAKVILLE, Ont., June 1, 2016 – Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. sales rose slightly in May, as consumers continued to purchase Canada’s top-selling truck in record numbers. Nearly 13,000 Ford F-Series pickups were sold last month, marking the best sales on record of F-Series in the month of May.

"Ford sales remain strong in Canada, with growth that continues to outperform the automotive industry through the month of May," said Dianne Craig, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. "Consumers are purchasing Ford F-Series trucks in record numbers, Ford Edge and Ford Explorer sales continue to deliver, and exciting new products, like the 2017 Ford Escape and 2017 Ford Fusion, are arriving at dealerships across the country.”

Lincoln sales grew four per cent in May, the ninth consecutive month of sales growth for the luxury brand in Canada, spurred by strong consumer demand for the Canadian-built Lincoln MKX.
