Ford remains Canada’s top-selling automotive and SUV brand June Highlights:

OAKVILLE, Ont., July 4, 2017 – Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. remains Canada’s top automotive and SUV brand at the close of the second quarter. Ford SUV sales last month achieved a 40 per cent increase helping Ford remain Canada’s top-selling SUV brand year-to-date.
Ford Explorer sales increased 86 per cent marking its best June performance in 13 years. Ford Escape, Ford Expedition and Ford Flex also saw increases of 23 per cent, 118 per cent and 10 per cent respectively. Ford F-Series marked its best-ever June on record with an 18 per cent sales increase.
“Ford leads the fast-growing SUV segment through the first half of 2017,” said Jim Hartford, vice president, Marketing, Ford of Canada. “And Ford is well-positioned to meet future demand for SUVs with three new utilities coming soon to dealerships in Canada – the 2018 Explorer, 2018 Expedition, and 2018 EcoSport.”
With its best June since 2010, Lincoln overall sales were up 21 per cent supported by sales increases of the Lincoln Navigator up 129 per cent, Lincoln MKX up 21 per cent, and Lincoln MKZ up 10 per cent.
“With the all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator hitting showrooms later this year, we are excited to see how customers will receive Lincoln’s reinvented best-known nameplate,” said Terry Erb, director, Lincoln, Marketing, Sales and Service. “We are pleased to see Lincoln’s steady momentum continue as we close the second quarter.”
