OAKVILLE, Ont., May 1, 2018 – Canadians bought more Ford F-Series Super Duty pickups than any prior month on record, helping to drive Ford as the best-selling automotive brand for the month of April. Sales were also buoyed by the fifth consecutive monthly increase of the first-ever Ford EcoSport, along with gains from consumer favourites Ford Mustang and Ford Explorer.
“When Canada’s top-selling pickups set new records, it shows just how much consumers value Ford’s tough, smart and capable trucks,” said Mark Buzzell, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “With the F-150 diesel arriving at dealerships soon, and a hybrid F-150 in the plans, truck customers will have even more choice and capability from Canada’s truck leader.”
With sales up 133 per cent in April, the all-new Lincoln Navigator is resonating so well with luxury consumers that they are sold almost as quickly as they arrive at dealerships.
