OAKVILLE, Ont., July 4, 2018
– Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. posted its best ever month for SUV sales in June, a testament to the strength of the Ford SUV lineup, which achieved top-selling status in 2017. Sales were driven by the best month since launch for the first-ever Ford EcoSport and the best June since 2014 for the popular Ford Escape.

“Consumers have been very clear – they want higher ride heights, more space and increased versatility, without sacrificing fuel efficiency,” said Mark Buzzell, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “Ford is delivering that with our utilities lineup today, and transforming our portfolio to provide Canadians with more choice, better fuel efficiency, and more electrification in the future.”

Ford commercial vehicles posted their best June sales since 1989, while the Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid set an all-time monthly sales record.

Lincoln SUVs posted their second best month on record, led by the all-new Lincoln Navigator.
