OAKVILLE, Ont., January 3, 2019 – For the tenth consecutive year, Ford is the best-selling automotive brand in the country. A repeat industry leader, the Ford F-Series remains Canada’s favourite pickup for the 53rd consecutive year, as well as the best-selling vehicle in Canada for the ninth year running. Further to these accomplishments, in 2018 Ford had the top-selling lineup of utility vehicles and commercial vehicles.
“We take pride in being Canada’s top-selling automotive brand for the tenth consecutive year,” said Tim Witt, vice president of Sales, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. ”We‘re committed to focusing on the products and attributes consumers value most. In 2019, we’re excited to introduce Canadians to the all-new Ford Ranger, the all-new Ford Explorer, the all-new Ford Escape, the all-new Lincoln Aviator and more great vehicles.”
Lincoln continued its growth in 2018, with overall sales increasing one per cent, led by an 81 per cent increase for the flagship Lincoln Navigator and a six per cent increase for Lincoln MKC. Lincoln sales were also up 15 per cent in December.
