OAKVILLE, Ont., January 3, 2020 – For the 11th consecutive year, Ford is the best-selling automotive brand in the country, while Canadians have made Ford F-Series the top-selling pickup for 54 years in a row and best-selling vehicle for ten years. Ford continues to be the leader in commercial vehicle sales, delivering the best year on record for sales of Ford Transit Van and Transit Connect.
“Ford continues to deliver products with the styling, performance and capability that consumers value,” said Dean Stoneley, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “In 2019, we launched the all-new Ford Escape, the all-new Ford Explorer, the all-new Lincoln Corsair and the all-new Lincoln Aviator. Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce Canadians to the all-new Ford Bronco, the all-new Ford F-150, and the all-new, fully electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, which has already sold out of the First Edition.”
Lincoln sales increased six per cent in 2019 and 17 per cent in the fourth quarter. Sales were up for the all-new Lincoln Corsair, the Lincoln Nautilus and the Lincoln Navigator, while sales of the all-new Lincoln Aviator got off to a strong start.
