OAKVILLE, Ont., July 2, 2020 – While Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. sales were down for the second quarter of 2020 compared to the previous year due to the impact of COVID-19, there were signs of optimism as the period came to a close. The all-new Ford Explorer and the versatile Ford Ranger, two important vehicles in Ford’s revamped lineup, saw year-over-year sales increases despite the pandemic-related challenges faced by the automotive industry.
“Canadians are showing us that they love our new products, and we can’t wait to deliver even more choice in the coming months,” said Dean Stoneley, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. “We recently revealed an all-new version of Canada’s top-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, and our truck customers could not be more excited. Order banks just opened for the all-new, all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, and we’ll debut the highly anticipated all-new Ford Bronco SUVs this month as well.”
Momentum continued for the all-new Lincoln Aviator, setting an all-time quarterly record with 719 units solid.
