OAKVILLE, Ont., July 2, 2021 – Whether requesting to reserve vehicles online or visiting dealer showrooms, Canadians continued to be drawn to the Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited lineup in the second quarter. Sales were up on most vehicles, with momentum continuing for the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E and all-new Ford Bronco Sport, along with the first deliveries of the all-new iconic Ford Bronco to customers in June.
“As we reach the halfway-point of the year, we’re seeing a strong automotive industry in Canada, in spite of external challenges like the global semiconductor shortage,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO, Ford of Canada. “In that strong industry, Ford remains the brand of choice for Canadians. With a fresh showroom, and more all-new vehicles on the way like the Ford Maverick, Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford E-Transit, we’re continuing to deliver what consumers want.”
Lincoln continued its upward momentum with sales increases for most SUVs in the second quarter. Last month, Lincoln also announced an accelerated brand transformation, including a plan to deliver a full portfolio of connected and electrified vehicles by 2030.
