Jennifer Waldo was named Ford’s chief people and employee experience officer in April 2022. She contributes to the global deployment and success of the Ford+ strategic plan for growth and value creation by leading development of a high-performance culture, recruiting people with additional and needed new kinds of talent, and boosting overall organizational capability, especially in technology and innovation. Waldo reports to Ford President and CEO Jim Farley.
Before joining Ford, Waldo led change in highly regarded companies, including for 10 years in the Silicon Valley, most recently as a vice president on the Apple People Team. In that role, she led the team supporting all nonretail people-related functions, including software, hardware, services, design and marketing, as well as the global mobility and talent development teams.
Prior to Apple, Waldo spent a combined 17 years with two GE business units. At GE Digital, Waldo was accountable for building software talent capabilities across the company’s industrial business. Earlier, at GE Aviation, she held a variety of plant HR roles and eventually managed global HR for sales and the avionics business. Waldo also led organization and talent development, including inclusion and diversity, recruiting, and executive development for the entire enterprise.
A Michigan native, Waldo holds bachelor’s degree in Political Theory from James Madison College at Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations, also from MSU.
