Ford Leads For Automotive Category in JUST 100 Corporate Rankings

Today, JUST Capital announced Ford earned the top spot in the “Automobiles & Parts” industry category in its annual JUST 100 corporate ranking. Ford ranked #20 of 954 publicly traded companies, moving up from #37 in 2021 on the index, which measures companies on the issues that matter most in defining just business behavior today.

“We’re honored to be recognized by JUST Capital as the leader in our industry and one of America’s Most JUST Companies, demonstrating that purpose and profits can go hand in hand by delivering value to all stakeholders, including our customers and our shareholders,” said Bob Holycross, Vice President Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering.

“We remain committed to leading the electrification revolution by delivering must-have vehicles that people love to drive and caring for people and the environment,” said Cynthia Williams, Global Director, Sustainability, Homologation and Compliance.

In just one year Ford rose 17 positions to lead the automotive category through its transparent commitments to be as responsible a business as possible. Specific criteria which separated Ford from competitors and other leading brands included:

  • Commitment to communities: Ford creates jobs in the U.S. and provides employment opportunities for communities that need them, respects and advances basic human rights with business partners across its supply chain and in countries where it operates, contributes to community development by supporting local schools and businesses and by listening to residents in the community, and gives back to local communities with donations, employee volunteering, and community programs.
  • Commitment to the environment: Ford demonstrates strong sustainability leadership and helps to combat climate change by reducing its own carbon emissions and minimizing pollution, uses natural resources efficiently and minimizes waste, and reduces the environmental impact of its products and services by using sustainable materials and renewable energy.
  • Focus on employee well-being: Ford cultivates a diverse and inclusive workplace with equal opportunity and pay without discrimination, protects the health, safety, and invests in its workforce by providing training, education, and career development opportunities.
