Customers have spent 1.4 Million Hours Enjoying BlueCruise!

I am proud to share that our Ford and Lincoln customers using BlueCruise have spent 1.4 million hours enjoying hands-free highway driving – that is the equivalent of almost 160 years! Driving on the highway can feel like a chore or even stressful – whether you’re stuck in stop-and-go traffic or on a long trip. BlueCruise helps do some of the heavy lifting for you in prequalified highway Blue Zones, making your time behind the wheel more enjoyable and relaxing by assisting with various parts of driving such as: steering, pressing the gas and braking, or making automatic lane changes at the touch of a turn signal.

What I love most about my job is getting to see people experience BlueCruise for the first time and the WOW factor when they slowly take their hands off the wheel to let the technology go to work. Sometimes it can be intimidating to physically take your hands off the wheel, but as BlueCruise is engaged, we’ve seen that people are amazed and quickly become more confident to comfortably enjoy the ride – with their eyes on the road of course!

BlueCruise 1.3

It’s really exciting to see BlueCruise 1.3, the latest version of the software, start rolling out to Mustang Mach-E customers with BlueCruise-equipped vehicles later this summer via a software update. The handful of people who have had the chance to use BlueCruise 1.3, which offers an even better experience in hands-free mode, have told us they’re blown away! Some things we have heard already, like from tech enthusiast Marques Brownlee is that "This is honestly some of the smoothest highway driving from any system I've ever tried, which is super cool."

Starting in July, Mustang Mach-Es are shipping from the factory with BlueCruise 1.3.  And, customers are given the option to try out the technology for 90-days before choosing to activate the service annually or monthly, or choose a 3-year BlueCruise activation at purchase. Customers can choose their terms, based on their lives. For example, if someone is heading out on a road trip for a weekend or longer, they could choose to activate BlueCruise for one month.

Experience BlueCruise

To get the latest and greatest software version of BlueCruise – like BlueCruise 1.3 – make sure you:

1. Have Automatic Software Updates turned ON

2. Set a Recurring Schedule – this is important for getting updates like BlueCruise where you aren’t able to drive your car while it is downloading

If you don’t have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, I encourage you to go to your dealer and ask to demo out BlueCruise to see what all the hype is about!

And please remember:

Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace any driver’s attention, judgment and the need to control the vehicle. Ford BlueCruise is a hands-free highway driving feature. Only remove your hands from the steering wheel when in a Hands-Free Blue Zone. Always watch the road, and be prepared to resume control of the vehicle. It does not replace safe driving. See Owner’s Manual for additional details and limitations.

Also note: BlueCruise requires a Connected Service plan that provides regular map updates, FordPass® App, and modem activation. BlueCruise-equipped vehicles come with either a 90-day trial, 2-year, 3-year , or 4-year BlueCruise Connected Service plan, after which purchase is required. See the Connected Services section of your Ford or Lincoln Account for your BlueCruise Connected Service plan status and available plan options.

Lack of updates for the rest of us Blue Cruise 1.0 suckers is pathetic. No wonder you can't sell EVs and you lose 100k on every car. Get some competent software engineers now or my next car will be a Chevy.

Will any other Ford cars besides the Mach E ever get another update. We are all still sitting on 1.0 f-150 (21-22) and the track record for updates is extremely poor from the BlueCruise division. Actually I should say non existent since BlueCruise is on 1.4. You all have also been dead silent on this at all not communicating with clients at all and there is no information released if it will happen. Really implies that Ford doesn’t care about customers. Most of us understand what Ford is really saying so it’s easy for us to choose not to purchase BlueCruise!  Also why brag about this when y’all can’t even deliver it to current cars that come off the production line. Really more of a pipe dream from BlueCruise at this point.
