Building magical ADAS experiences

I am super excited to share that Ford and Lincoln BlueCruise users have driven 200 million miles hands-free. That is further than a round trip from Earth to the sun. While we aren’t focused on chasing miles, this is important because the more owners use BlueCruise, the more our team is able to learn and make meaningful improvements to the technology. We can use the power of large-scale data coming from BlueCruise-equipped vehicles, which owners have agreed to share with us, to quickly drive better performance and new feature development. For example, when a driver takes back control of the vehicle in hands-free mode, we can review BlueCruise data and how the system responded during that event to identify areas for improvement. We believe in the potential that BlueCruise can have for owners, and I am proud of the Ford ADAS team’s work and what is to come in the future!

Great work Sammy and thank you for sharing. Can we expect to have L3 autonomy capability from Ford in the near future like in 2026 as indicated by the CEO, Jim Farley?…Thanks!

Sammy O. I drive a Mustang MachE 2023 and owned a MachE 2022 before that. I have been a Ford customer for the past 8 years. I love the car but I am completely disappointed with the BlueCruise product and I have used it for about 1.5 years now on both the cars. Although it’s a big milestone your team has achieved, I strongly believe the BlueCruise product is not even half way there in terms of performance and reliability compared other automakers similar products. That’s why I have decided not to subscribe BlueCruise as it’s not at all value for money. I would be happy to speak to someone and share my experience as I want this product to succeed. Thanks!

And I’ve driven some of those 200 million miles 😀 BlueCruise is fun, and the automatic lane changes are very well executed.

Congratulations on reaching such an impressive milestone with BlueCruise! The ability to leverage large-scale data for continuous improvement is truly transformative. We're excited to see how this technology evolves and supports safer, more efficient driving experiences. How do you foresee the potential future applications of this data-driven approach?
