Anthony Lo

Anthony Lo is chief design officer. He reports to Doug Field, chief EV, digital and design officer.

Since joining Ford in 2021, Lo has been responsible for creating a lineup of products and services that are unique, authentic and true to Ford’s values as customers expect smarter, increasingly connected and increasingly electric vehicles.

Before joining Ford, Lo served as Renault’s vice president of exterior design where he led his design team to create an all-new Renault and Dacia product line-up. He led the development of Renault’s “Cycle of Life” design strategy that showcased a series of award-winning concept cars with it such as the Dezir, Captur, R-Space and Frendzy, among others.

Prior to Renault, Lo was director of Advanced Design for General Motors Europe, overseeing Saab, Opel and Vauxhall projects from 2004 to 2010. Before that, he was with Mercedes-Benz in Japan, where he worked on the company’s Maybach concept and S-Class vehicles, as well as Audi in Germany. His international design career began with Lotus Cars where he designed the distinctive Carlton and worked on other notable vehicles, such as the Isuzu 4200R.

Lo is a native of Hong Kong and a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London.
