For impressive horsepower and torque, premium features and components, rely on Ford’s capable stripped chassis, the F-53 motorhome chassis and F-59 commercial stripped chassis. For the 2021 model year these sturdy foundations feature outstanding technology and the 7.3-liter V8 gas engine. The engine’s clean sheet design is optimized for power, packaging size, and ease of maintenance and is paired with the heavy duty TorqShift® 6-speed automatic transmission. A standard 210-amp alternator provides power with an extra heavy duty 240-amp unit available, also available for the 7.3-liter gas V8 is a CNG/propane gaseous engine prep package.

Both chassis feature useful technologies including standard 4G LTE Wi-Fi® for up to 10 devices that can be used with available new Ford Telematics^™ and Ford Data Services^™ in commercial applications to help customers more efficiently operate their fleets. F-59 has an optional Driver Assist Technology Package which includes automatic emergency braking, driver alert system and message center, post impact braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, auto high beam control. The F-53 includes standard power 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, standard hill start assist, and available electronic stability control.

Also included with both chassis are an optimized instrument cluster display, telescoping steering column and steering wheel and neutral idle for F-59 models.

Chassis choices feature a GVWR range of 16,000 to 26,000 pounds with a wide range of wheelbase options. The suspension is designed to optimize ride and enhance weight distribution characteristics with tuned Sachs shock absorbers front and rear.
