Overview

The only midsize pickup Built Ford Tough, the 2021 Ford Ranger is ready for adventure and packed with driver-assist technologies to enable easier driving both on and off-road. Anchored by a high-strength steel frame and powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® boasting 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque paired to an efficient 10-speed automatic, the all-new Ranger is available in either SuperCab or SuperCrew configuration. It can be optioned with 4x2 or 4x4, and comes in three trim levels – XL, XLT and Lariat. Available Chrome, Sport and STX Appearance Packages remain while 2021 brings the new STX Special Edition Package and Black Package gets new black Ford ovals and darker box decals.

The new Tremor Off-Road Package available for 2021 Ranger models creates the most off-road-ready factory-built Ranger ever offered in the U.S. Building off the FX4 Off-Road Package it features a lifted suspension with off-road tuned FOX 2.0 monotube dampers and rear piggyback reservoirs, specially tuned front coilover and rear multi leaf springs, 32-inch Continental General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires, and dash-mounted six-switch auxiliary power pack. Tremor also features Magnetic-painted alloy wheels, hoop-style steps, rear recovery hooks, Magnetic painted grille with black cross bars and red nostril inserts, and optional hood and body graphics. Inside, Ranger Tremor features package-exclusive seats with Miko suede inserts and Tremor stitching with black accents throughout the interior. Compared to the base Ranger SuperCrew 4x4, Tremor has a wider stance, improved ground clearance, front and rear suspension travel and greater approach, departure, and breakover angles. Together, these improvements mean customers can confidently tackle more challenging terrain on their way to their next epic destination without losing on-road comfort or on-the-job capability with a maximum payload of 1,430 pounds and best-in-class towing of 7,500 pounds.

Technology comes built-in, starting with an 8-inch touch screen for available SYNC® 3, while a single or dual LCD productivity screen is available for real-time vehicle, navigation and audio information. Ranger has standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. A Lane-Keeping System that includes lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, reverse sensing and class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage is standard on XLT and Lariat. Adaptive Cruise Control is standard on Lariat.

Ranger’s muscular body features a high beltline, while a raked grille and windshield lend an athletic appearance and aid in aerodynamics and reduced wind noise. Short overhangs mean better approach and departure angles off-road. Available FX4 Off-Road Package features off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, frame mounted steel front bash plate and skid plates, rear locking differential, innovative Terrain Management System™ with four distinct drive modes and Trail Control™. Ranger makes for a great piece of off-road gear, with its rugged steel bumper with available integrated trailer hitch receiver to tow campers, ATVs or watercraft. Maximum payload is a stout 1,860 pounds while maximum towing comes in at 7,500 pounds.
