Ford Motor Company auctioned the coveted final production at No Reserve, with proceeds benefiting Get Your Heart Racing, a fundraising event supporting Henry Ford Health System’s Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.

Henry Ford Health System’s Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute will be the beneficiary when the coveted final production 50 Years Limited Edition 2015 Ford Mustang, badge No. 1,964, is offered at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction Sept. 25-27. Ford will build only 1,964 units of the 50 Years Limited Edition Mustang fastback in honor of the year the pony car debuted.

Woodward Dream Cruise, Detroit’s annual automotive rite of summer, returns Aug. 16, 2014, and Ford Mustang fans will celebrate 50 years of their favorite car at Mustang Alley in Ferndale. The charity raffle drawing for a one-of-a-kind 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Years Limited Edition convertible will take place in Mustang Alley at 5:30 p.m.

At Barrett-Jackson Auction Company’s sale in Scottsdale, Ariz., a car collector and North Texas Ford dealer, Sam Pack, paid $300,000 to have the first retail production unit of the all-new 2015 Mustang GT when it goes on sale this fall. This purchase helped Ford Motor Company increase its charity vehicle sales to more than $3.5 million for JDRF, the leading diabetes research organization and a Ford partner since 1983.

Collectors hoping to own the first retail production 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be placing their bids on Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company event in Scottsdale, Ariz.
