Kristin J. Jones is chief privacy officer and associate general counsel for data and privacy reporting to Steve Croley, Ford chief policy officer and general counsel.
In this role, she oversees Ford's global privacy team, working cross-functionally with leadership and key stakeholders to establish and maintain robust privacy processes and policies. Kristin is instrumental in developing comprehensive data protection strategies to safeguard customer and connected vehicle data, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and integrating privacy-by-design principles into new automotive technologies.
Kristin joined Ford from CVS Health where she served as the privacy officer for their retail business. Before that, she was assistant vice president and senior counsel for privacy at Lincoln Financial Group, where she supported their chief privacy officer in managing the company's privacy program.
She began her career at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP, where she was promoted to Partner and served as chief privacy officer. In her role, she provided regulatory counseling and developed information privacy and security programs.
In addition to her corporate roles, Kristin has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University, teaching Health Care Law to graduate students.
Kristin holds a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology-Biology from Brown University.
Outside of her professional life, Kristin enjoys traveling, baking, and home improvement projects. She resides in Pennsylvania with her husband, Krister, their two children, and their dogs, Bentley and Eleanor.
