#OurFordStory - Centenary Video

As many of you may be aware, 2023 is a very important year for Ford in South Africa as it marks our Centenary – our remarkable 100th birthday!

Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa was founded in November 1923 as an important part of Ford’s global expansion. Assembly of Model Ts began in January 1924 locally, with an initial target of ten vehicles per day. This made it Ford’s 16th assembly plant outside of the US.

So much has been achieved over the past 100 years, and has led us to where we are today as a company.

As Heritage Month draws to a close we wanted to share a special video message with you on this remarkable milestone.

We look forward to sharing many special moments of our heritage with you in the coming months. You’ve all played an important role in getting us to where we are today, and we have so many exciting moments yet to come!

Here’s to the next 100 years!

Regards,

Neale Hill.
