Ford’s all-new Focus RS makes its global public debut today at the Geneva Motor Show. The high-performance road car pioneers the innovative Ford Performance All-Wheel-Drive system, and delivers class-leading cornering speed, thrilling performance and unbridled driving enjoyment. The all-new Focus RS also introduces advanced performance technologies, and is the first Ford RS equipped with selectable Drive Modes – including an industry-first Drift Mode – and Launch Control.

Ford is launching a new app that enables electric vehicle drivers to remotely connect their smartphone with the car to manage charging – and even set a chosen cabin temperature before their journey.

Ford Motor Company will reveal the all-new Focus RS high performance hatchback for the first time at a motor show, and debut the all-new Ford GT supercar in Europe, at the 2015 Geneva show. Ford will also present its full Ford Performance line-up for Europe including the new Focus ST and Focus ST diesel, and Fiesta ST. In addition the new Ford Mustang Fastback and Convertible will be on view to showgoers.

Ford was the clear leader in total vehicle, car and CV sales in January as it commenced its 39th consecutive year of UK car sales leadership and is on track to complete 50 consecutive years of UK commercial vehicle (CV) sales leadership.

The all-new Ford Focus RS will be previewed at a special presentation in Cologne, Germany, at 13:45 CET on Feb. 3. The preview takes place at a unique venue in Ford’s European HQ, and where the RS badge first debuted 48 years ago. In addition to showcasing the third generation of Ford’s Focus RS performance hatchback, the event also will highlight the innovation and technological advances which have become a hallmark of the RS story over the years.

The all-new Ford Focus RS will be previewed at a special presentation in Cologne, Germany, at 12:45 on 3 February.

The Ford Transit Custom is to play a vital role in the country’s well-being – with the NHS Blood and Transplant service (NHSBT).

Ford is increasing production at its assembly plants in Saarlouis and Cologne, Germany, to meet growing demand for several top-selling vehicles. From next week, Ford is increasing production of the Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX at the Saarlouis plant by 240 units per day to 1,770 vehicles. The Ford Focus and C-MAX are Ford’s second and third best-selling vehicles in Europe.

Ford, together with its national dealer network, is inviting customers across the UK to test its latest technologies at a new event called Ford Tech Live.

Nick Themistocleous has been appointed director, fleet operations Ford of Britain, succeeding Phil Hollins, who has held the role since 2012. Phil has been appointed commercial vehicles director, Ford of Europe. Both appointments are effective February 1, 2015.

Ford of Europe – which last year recorded its highest full-year market share since 2011 on strong demand for its new models – said 2015 will be one of the busiest years for new product in the company’s history.

Ford of Europe increased sales and gained market share in 2014 on strong demand for its new cars and commercial vehicles.
