Utility vehicle sales were up 11 per cent in May, led by the best month of May on record for the Escape and the best month of sales ever for the Explorer, which increased 16 per cent and 14 per cent respectively. Sales of the Oakville-built Ford Flex and Edge were up one per cent and seven per cent respectively.

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. had a record-breaking month of sales for Escape, Explorer and hybrid vehicles, helping Ford to lead the industry in sales for the month of April. It was the best month of sales ever for the Ford Fusion Hybrid and Energi, as well as the C-MAX Energi. The C-MAX Hybrid also had its best month of April on record.

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. experienced the best February on record for Ford Fiesta and F-Series. Overall, sales remained consistent with last February.

The 2015 Ford Focus, the world’s best-selling nameplate, is expected to hold onto this coveted title with a bold new look that emulates other recent Ford vehicle designs and more advanced technologies that improve driver comfort and safety.
