Stephen G. Butler was elected to the Ford Motor Company board of directors in 2004. He serves on the nominating and governance committee and as chair of the audit committee.

Butler is retired chairman and chief executive officer of KPMG, and retired chairman of KPMG International. He held a variety of management positions, both in the United States and internationally, over his 33-year career with the company. He served as chairman and chief executive officer of KPMG from 1996 until his retirement on June 30, 2002.
