Susan Krusel is vice president, Communications & Public Affairs, Ford of Europe, a position she has held since March 2018. In this role, she is responsible for growing reputation and leading all internal and external communications initiatives in the region.
Previously, Krusel served as director, Global Corporate Communications, at the company’s headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, where she was a key partner with senior Ford leaders and led communications on a number of significant business priorities. During this assignment, she also served seven years as communications director for Executive Chair Bill Ford.
A citizen of the U.S., Krusel joined Ford Motor Company in November 1999. She has held a variety of communications strategy and media relations positions at Ford, including serving as a company spokesperson for issues ranging from product strategy, corporate and financial matters, marketing programs and executive issues.
Krusel has more than 25 years of experience in communications and marketing. Prior to joining Ford, she was marketing communications manager at Kenworth Truck Company (a division of PACCAR, Inc.) – a leading medium- and heavy-duty truck manufacturer based in Seattle, Washington. She also served for more than 10 years in a number of marketing communications roles at Rockwell International (now Meritor, Inc.) in its heavy truck division.
Krusel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Oakland University. She also holds a Masters of Business Management degree from Walsh College.
She is married with two boys, and resides in Bonn, Germany.
