Advanced powertrains for proven performance and efficiency

The lineup is led by the 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel(1,2) combined with an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Having gone through a total of 5.5 million kilometers of testing, Ford’s new generation of diesel engines offer Ranger Bi-Turbo customers performance and efficiency while delivering best-in-class 213PS and 500Nm of torque and equal class-leading payload and 3500kg towing capability in Limited and Wildtrak.

The Ranger’s proven 3.2L Turbo Diesel(1,3)  producing 197-horsepower and 470Nm of torque and delivers the outstanding payload and towing capabilities Ranger is renowned for. Its highly competitive towing applies to both automatic and manual 6-speed transmission models, with 3500kg capability on all 3.2L powered Rangers across all body styles. While the ever-reliable 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine(1,2,3) is up for any task at hand.

Thanks to smart design and engineering, the Ranger can wade through water with a depth of 800mm. The front fascia isn’t just stylish. It plays a key part in the Ranger’s water wading capabilities. The smart design is built to take the impact of water at 25-kilometers per hour and creates a bow wave, spreading the water away from the engine’s air intake and other essential components.

A smarter, safer driving experience

Not only is the Ford Ranger built tough, but it’s also built smart with safety and technology features that propel it to the forefront of the medium pickup segment. Ranger comes with Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Vehicle Detection and Parallel Park Assist, a segment-first in many markets. In addition, Ranger was the first vehicle in its segment to receive a five-star ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program) rating.

The Ford Ranger also comes equipped with features like SYNC® 3** to keep owners and operators safely connected while on the move. Ford's SYNC 3 is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ enabled and can be operated using voice commands or via pinch and swipe gestures on an eight-inch touchscreen.
