KUWAIT, January 15, 2019 – The all-new Nautilus, Lincoln’s newest entry to the popular midsize luxury SUV market, is set to make its Middle Eastern debut during Kuwait’s much awaited Auto Moto show, January 17-26, 2019.
Auto Moto takes place at the 360 Mall in Kuwait City’s Al Zahra area, and is one of the region’s most exclusive shows. It blends high-end retail shopping with the very best the automotive industry has to offer – a natural location where Lincoln would mark the Middle East debut of the Nautilus.
Complete with a new turbocharged engine lineup and a standard suite of advanced technologies offering the driver assistance from the front, rear and sides, Nautilus joins the new MKC at Kuwait’s Auto Moto, alongside the elegant Continental, Navigator and stylish MKZ. The two new models feature the refined new face of Lincoln, sharing the same signature grille design used across the Lincoln family, evoking a sense of confidence.
“Lincoln continues to go from strength to strength in the region, thanks in part to its popularity in Kuwait, where discerning customers understand the meaning of modern luxury”, said Sarah Rae, Director, Lincoln Middle East. “It’s a privilege to be able to present the all-new Nautilus for the first time to our Lincoln clients in Kuwait. We’re thrilled to have the luxury SUV join the excellent Lincoln lineup available in the region.”
The Lincoln Nautilus
Available in the region in the second quarter of this year, the new Nautilus brings distinctive form with its function. Its exterior aligns with the rest of the Lincoln lineup, presenting a bold signature grille highlighted by a unique Lincoln star mesh design. The sleek shape of the midsize SUV showcases a harmonious aesthetic along with aerodynamic efficiency, and a new wheel selection adds another layer of personal style.
Available heated and cooled Ultra Comfort seats for driver and front passenger, developed with input from orthopedic surgeons, can be adjusted up to 22 ways. The feature, which provides lumbar massage designed to reduce fatigue, is especially beneficial on long trips or in traffic. An available 13-speaker or 19-speaker Revel® audio system offers the ultimate sound experience and adds to the soothing environment
The sleek console for Nautilus provides an airy ambience, while a sophisticated push-button gear shift integrates seamlessly with classic knobs and buttons. A leather-wrapped, hand-stitched steering wheel is mounted ahead of a 12.3-inch fully configurable digital instrument cluster that displays driver information crisply and clearly.
The all-new 2019 Nautilus introduces Lincoln Co-Pilot360™, which bundles many popular driver-assist features that were previously available only as separate options and makes them standard. It’s incorporated with an array of sophisticated technologies designed to inspire driver confidence.
Lincoln Co-Pilot360 uses cameras and radar to enhance a driver’s capabilities – easing stress and making each journey virtually effortless. Technologies like Blind Spot Information System, which uses radar to alert drivers of approaching vehicles entering their blind spot by flashing an indicator light, and cross-traffic alert, warning drivers of traffic behind when backing out of a parking spot or driveway, are included. Other technologies include pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, auto high beams, a lane-keeping system and a rearview camera.
Available evasive steer assist also debuts on Nautilus, providing drivers with steering support to help avoid collisions with a slow or stopped vehicle if a potential accident can’t be mitigated by braking alone. Lane centreing technology, which detects lane markings on the road to help keep the vehicle centred, is also available. Lane centreing helps keep drivers centred in their lane while adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability is enabled, which allows drivers to set a desired speed and distance between themselves and the vehicle ahead.
A powerful 2.7-litre twin turbocharged engine delivers 335 horsepower, while the standard 250-horsepower 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo is efficient and smooth in operation. Both engines include standard Auto Start-Stop capability, plus a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2019 Lincoln MKC
The 2019 Lincoln MKC also makes its Kuwait debut at Auto Moto. A new rear design features attractive chrome highlights that enhance the appearance from all angles.
The MKC is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces 245 horsepower and is designed to be both exhilarating and fuel-efficient. Three technologies – turbocharging, direct injection and twin independent variable camshaft timing – help produce effortless power and torque while also delivering class-leading levels of fuel efficiency.
Lincoln Drive Control allows drivers to select the type of ride and performance they want to experience. Drivers control their selection through the instrument cluster for either: Normal, Comfort or Sport, and each mode adjusts engine throttle response, transmission shifting, steering feel, adaptive suspension settings, electronic stability control to suit.
Inside, the cabin is quiet and inviting, replete with plush, soft-to-the-touch materials. Lincoln touches are apparent in every detail, from the available heated and cooled seats to USB ports throughout, allowing everyone to stay connected.
The Lincoln Navigator
Lincoln’s flagship was launched to widespread regional acclaim, and it remains one of the most desirable large luxury SUVs on the market today.
With best-in-class levels of power, torque, space, luxury and prestige, plus an indulgent interior and captivating style, the Lincoln Navigator elevates every road trip to first class travel for all.
With more than 70 new features and technologies, the Navigator leads the luxury SUV segment in many categories, including power, with 450 horsepower and 691 Nm torque from its 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. Paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Navigator is always perfectly poised to exploit its prodigious power reserves.
The Lincoln Continental
The Continental is Lincoln’s flagship limousine – an elegant, effortlessly powerful, serene full-size sedan that delivers quiet luxury to the region’s most discerning customers.
Lincoln Continental offers first-class travel for clients in the Middle East, bringing warm, human touches and a contemporary design. It is designed to appeal to culturally progressive clients who define luxury on their own terms – craving superior quality, craftsmanship and safety.
Continental embodies a timeless definition of beauty, balancing strength and elegance, power and control. The design is thoroughly modern, with Lincoln’s new distinctive grille and an athletic profile that is dynamic and progressive.
Powered by an incredible 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing up to 400 horsepower, it is designed to deliver smooth, responsive, yet quiet power. Available all-wheel drive paired with Dynamic Torque Vectoring transfers torque on demand to the appropriate rear wheel through corners – offering confident handling.
Lincoln Drive Control provides the driver a choice of three settings – comfort, normal and sport – adapting steering and suspension setups to tailor ride and handling. Continuously controlled damping helps isolate Continental from road imperfections, while adaptive steering technology improves steering efficiency and effort.
Designed to provide a serene experience, the all-new Continental’s beautifully detailed interior is crafted to be physically comforting, visually soothing and peacefully quiet. From the warmth of its authentic wood accents to the simplicity of its controls, every aspect of this all-new interior environment is designed to provide luxurious comfort for all occupants.
An interior highlight is Lincoln’s new Perfect Position Seats – inspired by private jets and high-end office furniture – which can be adjusted up to 30 ways. The patented design allows the seat to adjust to individual body shapes and weights for optimal stretch and comfort. Thigh cushions extend and adjust independently, allowing one leg to remain at rest while the other engages the pedals. Optional heating and cooling settings optimise comfort in any climate, while available massage functionality helps reduce muscle fatigue in the upper legs and lower back.
The Lincoln MKZ
The new Lincoln MKZ combines intuitive technology, effortless performance and distinctive design to deliver an enhanced driving experience Lincoln calls quiet luxury.
The Lincoln MKZ is designed to appeal to those who are looking for something different in the luxury market. From the placement of technology features such as the push-button gear shift to reimagined interior spaces including the floating centre console, drivers can relish in discovering an unexpected experience based on intelligent function and beautiful form that offers, above all, an enjoyable drive.
