Ford’s new airbag design and Mustang engineers recognized at SPE Automotive Innovation Awards

Ford Motor Company and its employees were honored this week at the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Automotive Innovation Awards. Ford took top honors, for Grand Innovation of the Year for its innovative airbag design available in 2015 Mustang and Edge, and for Engineering Team of the Year for Mustang. Ford also won in five other categories including safety, body interior, environmental, materials and enabling technologies. More information about the awards is available here.
