Less weight, bigger hardware: Real-world Super Duty customers get hands-on with all-new Ford F-Series Super Duty

Real-world truck customers are learning how the use of high-strength steel and high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy result in a weight savings that means big dividends for the all-new Ford F-Series Super Duty – the toughest, smartest, most capable Super Duty ever. Ford engineers reinvested weight savings into strengthening crucial components on the truck while trimming up to 350 pounds versus the previous generation Super Duty. The tougher, lighter body paved the way for beefed-up axles, brakes, hitch and suspension, while an all-new, fully boxed frame with 95 percent high-strength steel is up to 24 times stiffer than the previous frame.

Five Super Duty customers were given a behind-the-scenes, hands-on demonstration of the upgraded components. Check out their reactions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6uEi1wNzVA&feature=youtu.be.
