New Ford Escape Wins Cars.com Compact SUV Challenge

CHICAGO, July 13, 2016 – The 2017 Ford Escape took top honors in Cars.com’s annual compact SUV challenge, besting the 2016 Kia Sportage, 2016 Honda CR-V, 2016 Toyota RAV4 and 2016 Hyundai Tucson to rank as the best option for shoppers in the segment.

The technology-packed Escape features two new available EcoBoost® engines – both with standard Auto Start-Stop. SYNC® 3 is optional, along with such available driver-assist features as adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, and enhanced active park assist.

“The significantly refreshed Ford Escape is a great-driving small SUV, now with even more features for the money,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com editor in chief. “Between its huge driver-connectivity system, comfortable and quiet ride, and impressive built-in storage, the Escape is a real winner.”

The 2017 Ford Escape – with available SYNC Connect that allows owners to start, lock, unlock and locate their vehicle using the FordPass mobile app available via a download – is in showrooms now with a starting MSRP of $23,600, plus taxes, title, delivery and license fees.
